La Régie du cinéma du Québec has put together a great book for parents. Intended for parents of 8-12 year olds, the book covers how children interpret media images, and how parents can assist their children to understand what they see. We sometimes need reminding that our children do not see the world the way do.
The book includes a few exercises to help parents better understand their children, and their own reaction to various images. There are also good tips on safe internet use, information about various ratings systems, references to some useful sites, and other resources.
