Widespread agreement that this is basically a family film, though the little ones might be scared. Nova Scotia does not mention why the PG rating is assigned, and Quebec seems to stand alone with their low rating. However, there is no equivalent to PG in Quebec – the film is either suitable for those under 13, or they are not allowed to attend.
There was a little more adult thematic material than I was expecting, pimarily the opening focus on Oscar’s womanizing and the subsequent consequences, but I suppose it’s nothing children need to be warned about.
